5,000 friends club for FACEBOOK

VIRTUAL FRIENDS
Facebook is a place to find old friends and make new ones. But there is a catch to it. You can't get too friendly, because Facebook will force you to press the brakes around the 5,000-friends mark. The world's largest social networking website recently announced that it has over 500 million users and only a fraction of the half-a-billion actually have 5,000 friends.

While Facebook suggests that such popular people should open a fan page (that don't have a limit on followers), many have gone and opened another profile, ready for their next 5,000 friends. Interestingly, many of those who have hit the 5,000-friend ceiling aren't celebrities. We dug through Facebook to come up with a few members of this select club.

Faizah Ghadban- Kanda: This mother of six and grandmother of six from Ottawa, Canada has crossed the 5,000-friends mark. She asks her friends not to write to her in Arabic as she can understand only English.

Sarathbabu Elumalai: This IIM-Ahmedabad graduate created quite a buzz when he refused a plum job offer to start his own catering service. He had also contested as an independent candidate from the South Chennai seat in the 2009 general elections and also intends to contest in the 2011 Tamil Nadu assembly polls.

Sree Latha Nair: Employed as a manager with Perma Shipping Line, this mother-of-three hails from Johor Bahru in Malayasia.

Apple investigating issues with iOS 4 upgrade on iPhone 3G

Back when we outlined the iOS 4 features missing from iPhone 3G, we forgot one key bullet point: performance. As more and more two-year veterans of Apple's phones have taken the plunge and upgraded to the latest firmware, slowdown and battery drain issues have become a common complaint, which is even more irksome when you think of just how little the update really adds to the UI. The Wall Street Journal reports speaking to an Apple spokesperson who said the company is looking into the matter. That doesn't necessarily mean a fix is coming anytime soon, but hey, at least you can hold the darn thing however you want.

Starcraft II: Best-Selling Game of All Time After 12 Years, Could Hit 7 Million Sales

Starcraft II: Wings of LibertyIt's worth the wait, which even bring StarCraft II into limelight of ultimately most anticipated game after the real-time-strategy instant classic, Starcraft release in 1998, that's 12 years not counting expansion packs. As one of the notable games ever released it can also one of the best-selling games of all time and also marks one of the longest periods of time in between two franchise releases.

According to Fudzilla reports, industry sources claims that StarCraft II is expected to hit six to seven million of copies sales, that is $171 million in profit and a total of $350 million in sales. That's totally far from 9.5 million copies of the original StarCraft sold.

But we want to set an expectation that StarCraft II could be bigger than estimated seven million, considering it's one of the biggest game in the history of PC gaming. A proof in South Korea, it is played as a sport with stadiums full of fans coming out to watch professional gamers duke it out as Terran, Protoss or Zerg.

So what can we expect? Starcraft II has three chapters, the first of which "Wings of Liberty" will release July 27, then later on two more expansion packs which still no words on release dates with "Heart of the Swarm" and "Legacy of the Void".

The good news, technically, it won't need high-end rigs for StarCraft II to run smoothly, though it's much impressive while running heavy-duty gaming PCs. The advance game's graphic engine seemed to great job on handling multiple units onscreen at once, so things won't slow down when the action picks up.

You can grab your copy now at Amazon for $59.99, but be warned you need to hurry checking it out before it hits out of stock.
